All Tombow executive/gift writing instruments are unconditionally guaranteed against mechanical failure due to faulty materials or workmanship, regardless of age. In the unlikely event of such a defect, any Tombow product or part requiring service will be repaired or replaced without charge when returned to the Tombow Service Center.
Ink Refills, fountain pen nibs, leads, and erasers exhausted in the course of normal use are excluded from this warranty. Also excluded are parts damaged from impact, unreasonable use, or obvious abuse. 4.) WHY IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ROLLERBALL PENS TO LEAK?Top

There is a small hole in rollerball refills at the tip near where the tip joins the reservoir. This enables enough initial air to enter the reservoir and create a holding vacuum - this vacuum holds the ink in the refill without excessive flow or leaking. However, if there is a change in air pressure, such as on an airplane, or extremely high temperatures, air is able to enter the reservoir too easily. The vacuum then is eliminated and the refill will be prone to excessive flow and leaking. One way to minimize leaking on an airplane is to insert a new, unused refill. This will minimize the space available in the reservoir for the air to enter which causes the ink to overflow.

5.) HOW CAN I REMOVE INK STAINS?Top

There are several stain removers that work on ink and are available in discount stores, supermarket chains, and some stationery stores - Amodex Stain Remover, DIDI 7, Multi 7.

6.) ARE YOUR PRODUCTS ACID FREE?Top

Yes, most Tombow products are acid-free. Some of our most popular acid-free products are Mono Adhesive, Mono Multi, Mono Aqua, Glue Stick, Dual Brush Pens, and Mono Ball.

7.) KEY USAGE TIPS FOR THE MONO ADHESIVE:Top

Apply the adhesive with a slow and steady pressure, as you will not get a smooth, even adhesion if you apply the glue too quickly. Prior to lifting the adhesive applicator from the surface in which you are adhering, tilt the applicator forward (toward the strip of adhesive just applied). This will give a clean, even break to the strip of adhesive and will eliminate any "stringing" of the glue as you remove the applicator. The Mono Adhesive is a product developed for use on paper products. Certain papers will also provide a better surface for adhesion. The Mono Adhesive does not perform well with high fiber content papers (i.e., handmade papers, low grade recycled papers, construction paper), however, you can use it with card stock, photographs, cardboard, and most all other types of paper.

8.) KEY USAGE TIPS FOR THE MONO CORRECTION TAPE:Top

Apply the correction tape with a slow and steady pressure for a smooth application. The rewind knob on the side of the applicator will adjust the tension of the tape. If the film at the tip becomes too loose, it is possible for it to slide to the left or right during application. If this happens, it is then possible for the film to tear from the sharp edge of the tip while using the product. Please adjust the tape as needed to keep the film on track and eliminate this problem. The Mono Correction Tape has two reels that you can view through the transparent applicator. To the right is the wheel with the correction tape and to the left is the take-up reel. If the wheel to the right is empty, all the correction tape has been used and the applicator can then be discarded.
